It's difficult to fathom improving on the latest version of the mighty Wave Rider, but the designers at Mizuno may have just created the best version yet: the Wave Rider Neo. Whereas the Wave Rider 24 uses Mizuno's Enerzy super foam only under the heel, the Wave Rider Neo features a full-length Enerzy midsole. The result is a soft, plush ride that is also extremely responsive thanks the continued use of the Wave Plate in the heel. Having the Wave Plate sandwiched between the Enerzy Foam also makes for smoother, more stable transitions.
The upper has also been overhauled, featuring a woven upper that only stretches vertically, giving you a comfortable, secure lockdown that inspires confidence when you decide to push the pace. An integrated tongue and seamless liner work together to eliminate any hot spots, adding even more luxury to the upper. Underfoot, translucent G3 has been used to enhance toe-offs and provide all-weather grip.
Mizuno Enerzy is a lighter, more cushioned version of U4ic that delivers a soft, pillowy underfoot feel for cushion upon impact.
Mizuno Wave consists of a redesigned elastic, thermal plastic wave running from the heel to the midfoot, creating an incredibly springy and well-cushioned ride.
Translucent G3 Outsole enhances toe-offs and provides durable all-weather grip.
Seamless Woven Upper offers a luxurious foot wrap with vertical-only stretch for improved lockdown.
